Manoj Bajpayee says he is in love with his wife Shabana forever – Times of India


When Manoj Bajpayee first met his wife Shabana Raza, also known as Neha Bajapayee, at a Bollywood party in 1998 it was love at first sight for him. The seasoned actor, celebrating his 53rd birthday, has always been a true blue family man.

While most celebrity couples are comfortable with sharing their social media PDA moments Manoj and Shabana are a bit different. They like to keep their personal life private, but the love they share is major ‘relationship goals’. It is a special story that oozes partnership, perseverance and privacy.

During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the popular actor was asked how romantic he is in real life. Manoj promptly revealed that he has been in love with his wife Shabana forever and the love between them has remained the same all these years. He also revealed that doing simple things with wife Shabana has always made him feel special. It can be pretty little things like enjoying the first cup of morning tea, buying groceries or watching films together. The seasoned actor also revealed that they discuss every topic in the world from politics to films.

Manoj Bajpayee was initially married to a woman from Delhi but they got divorced and met Shabana right after her debut in ‘Kareeb’ opposite Bobby Deol in 1998. They got married in 2006.

When asked whether he’s a ‘family man’ Manoj admitted that his busy shooting schedule often makes him an absentee father to their daughter Ava Navya but he always tries to compensate when at home. The actor insists he’s a family man in his own way and would like to raise her daughter with her own belief system and own resolve. And to do that he will always support her but Ava herself has to make her own journey. Manoj further says that if his daughter stumbles upon anything in her journey she will always find his father backing her up. The actor who has worked in more than 70 films in his career spanning almost three decades insists he doesn’t want to be an overprotective parent.
